MISSION

With this blog I want to create an openness to alcohol addiction among Christians. I am convinced that there are many more men and women like me who have found their best friend and worst enemy in drinking. And who cannot talk to anyone about it. If you recognize yourself in this, I hope you keep reading. Because I know what you are going through and I want to encourage you. You can really quit drinking and learn to deal with your addiction.
12 steps
On this blog I write about the 12-step plan that is used in Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. This step-by-step plan forms a whole and is a tool for building a life without alcohol. I am not an expert, coach or counselor, but I can share my own experiences and struggles with you. Reading this blog can be a start to acknowledge your addiction, share your secret with someone you trust, or seek professional help.
Respond anonymously
In an AA meeting everyone can tell their story, while this blog is only written by me. That is why I would like to invite you to respond if something appeals to you, or if you are simply looking for a listening ear from someone who understands your struggle. This can also be done anonymously. I regard and treat all responses as strictly confidential.
